5th Grade Color Mixing Project

Fifth graders created amazing paintings where they focused on their color mixing. They used only the three primary colors: yellow, red, and blue, to create all three secondary colors and all six intermediate colors. The result was amazing! Objective(s)—Students will be able to....

  • Create a unique composition using overlapping shapes.
  • Review/ recall mixing primary colors to create secondary colors.
  • Mix primary and secondary colors to create intermediate colors.
  • Neatly paint all colors  (p, s, i) from color  wheel within designated shapes in design.
  • Create 13 different patterns using lines and shapes.
